HOW TO WEAR
Size
Before you wash the carrier, make sure you got the right size.
The Konny Baby Carrier is a product to tightly hold your baby. The fabric of carrier naturally stretches with use and as your baby becomes heavier, so it is important that you initially select the right size. Please select the size of your Konny Baby Carrier based on your pre-pregnancy clothing size, rather than your baby's age or weight. However, if the mother's weight difference remains over 10kg(22 pounds) post puerperium, please choose a larger size. Dads should choose their normal T-shirt size.

Once you have received your Konny Baby Carrier, try putting it on properly. If you have space for two to three fists in between your chest and the carrier, you're good to go. Now, try holding your baby. Baby's bottom should be positioned higher than your hips but lower than your belly button.
When carrying your baby after the newborn stage, be sure to spread both shoulder sashes down the bottom of the baby, all the way until the edges reach the baby's knees. If this creates the optimal "M" shape, you have found the correct size. (Picture 1)

If the initial fit feels a bit snug, then you have selected the correct size. Size down if the baby's bottom is positioned lower than your hips. (Picture 2) For safety, do not wear a carrier that is too big for you.

Practice
The first few times can be tricky for anyone.
As it is a product to carry your baby, make sure to read the instructions carefully before practicing. You can also refer to the instructional videos on the official website when practicing how to wear it properly. For the first few practices of carrying your baby, practice while seated on a bed or sofa. (Picture 1) Seek help from a partner until you can skillfully wear the carrier.

If you are practicing an inward-facing position, the helping partner can hold the baby outwards and put the baby's legs into the space in between your chest and shoulder sashes, one leg at a time. It's much easier if you put your arm inside the sash to make an opening. (Picture 2)

How to Wear
Very comfortable worn properly
Seeing the Konny logo on the back-panel of the carrier, simply wear it like a T-shirt. Widely spread the sashes over your shoulders, ensuring the no part is tangled, and pull the back-panel down as far as possible.
If should look as if you're wearing a shawl. If the back-panel crawls all the way up to the back of your neck, or if the sashes do not fully cover your shoulders after holding the baby in the carrier, try wearing it again.

Holding a Newborn
Hold your baby in a curled-up position as in a mother's womb.
This is a way to hold the baby upright in the carrier in a curled-up position as in a mother's womb. You can provide kangaroo care with more ease without wrist pain. You may proceed to try an inward-facing position, if the baby starts stretching their legs inside the carrier at about 30 days after birth.

Ideal Leg Shape
Always maintain an "M Shape," regardless of the position.
Until six months after birth, a sustained period of bad posture can cause hip dysplasia and/or joint dislocation.
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute recommends that
1) baby's legs are kept spread from side to side,
2) the thighs and bottom are supported overall,
3) the knees stay naturally bent, pointing upward.
All three recommendations should be met regardless of the types of baby carriers you use and the position in which you carry your baby in order to prevent hip dysplasia and joint dislocation.
The Konny Baby Carrier received an official certification from the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as the baby carrier that helps develop healthy hip joints of babies. Always keep an "M shape" when you hold your baby in the Konny Baby Carrier, regardless of the position.

How to Wear the Outer Sash
Prevent accidents.
The outer sash is an essential item that can prevent potential accidents. Try putting your cell phone or a gauze towel in the small pocket in the middle of the outer sash.

Wearing it properly
Wearing it properly not only reduces the burden on your body but also prevents accidents, such as falling or suffocation.
A baby who cannot yet control their head can suffocate in this product by being pressed against the wearer's chest. Hold the baby upright and wear the outer sash. Baby's mouth and nose should always stay outside the carrier, fully uncovered.

When picking something up from the floor while holding your baby, do not lean forward; gracefully lower your position by bending your knees. Having space inside the carrier for not choosing the right size, not wearing the outer sash, or leaning forward or bending over the upper body while not firmly supporting the baby may cause the baby to fall.

Create an "M shape" by spreading the shoulder sashes down the bottom of the baby all the way until the edges reach the baby's knees.

It's much more comfortable if you pull down the back panel as much as you can and widely spread the shoulder sashes. Always be sure to wear the outer sash.

The back panel is shifted to the side. Place it at the center.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can mom and dad share the carrier?
Parents won't be able to share the carrier, unless their sizes are the same. If you purchase the product in accordance with one parent's size, the other parent may experience discomfort; if you purchase about the middle size for both parents, both may experience discomfort. Try buying one in accordance with the size of one parent. If the baby enjoys the time in the Konny Baby Carrier, then consider making an additional purchase. For safety, do not wear a carrier that is too big for you.
Q. Where can I carry my baby in an inward-facing position?
It is difficult to provide the exact point in time, as it varied for each baby but it is generally at 30-50 days. You may try out the inward-facing position, when the baby starts stretching the legs inside the carrier. Keeping an "M" shape for the baby's healthy hip joints development is more important than how quickly you proceed to the next step.
Q. Do I need to purchase a larger size when the baby grows up?
As the baby's weight increases, the fabric containing spandex stretches accordingly. Therefore, you should purchase a tight-enough size in the beginning to allow for some stretching as the baby grows up.
Q. At what point can I use the carrier for a newborn?
You can start using the carrier on the way back home after delivery. It would baby for each baby, but normally you can hold your baby in a newborn-holding position until 30 days after birth.
Q. Can I exchange for another size?
Exchanges can be made within 30 days of receipt, only for items that have not yet been washed. Please contact us here with your order number.
Q. How long can I carry my baby in the carrier each time?
It may vary based on the differing pace of growth and propensities of babies. The recommended time of use is as follows. Check on the baby's condition often and make adjustments accordingly.
1) It is best not to use within 30 minutes of breastfeeding.
2) Use it for less than two consecutive hours.
3) For the front-carry (outward-facing) position, Konny recommends that you use it in increments of less than 30 minutes to protect the baby's hip joints.
Q. Why does it keep leaning to one side?
If the back-panel is not placed in the middle of your back, or the shoulder sashes are not evenly spread from left to right, the carrier can be tilted to one side. Make sure the back-panel stays in the middle of your back and the shoulder sashes are evenly spread, and then try holding your baby. Try to keep a balance between left and right when covering your baby's hips and thighs with the sashes. It may seem difficult at first, but you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
